Note from Shirley: Two of my gr-gr-uncles are buried here. Avery and Sanford Vandiver "Van" Vaughan

died of Typhoid Fever within a week of each other in a Richmond hospital. Van was married to Harriet

Brown and Newton was her brother.

Two confederate soldiers of the same unit as Adroniram Emmit Vaughan The two soldiers graves were
outside the fence but when the gravesites were cleaned about 10 years ago their headstones were placed
inside the fence also. Ther is quite a story about how they came to be there in the first place.
