Thomas H. Vaughan fought during the Civil War for the Confederacy. He was a private in Co., K 18th Reg. of the Tennessee Infantry. Thomas was enlisted on Dec. 11, 1861 by Col. Palmer at Bolling Green, Tennessee. |

The above picture was taken just after Mary Ann Clifton Vaughan's death. Thomas H. Vaughan is sitting in the chair. Wil Vaughan is standing behind his mother's (Mary's) empty chair. The man to the far left of Thomas H. is R.D. "Bob" Scott, widower of Bettie Vaughan Scott. The older boy is "Bob" Scott's brother. Sam Vaughan is standing next to his father, Thomas H. Vaughan. Ninni Vaughan is further down the row wearing the dark dress with the white edged collar. The rest of the group is un-identified. The house is the Vaughan family home. |
