Note From Barbara!:
I bought a cabinet card photo of Minnie Vaughn.
It was taken by what appears to be "Hess" of Cobleskill, N. Y. on the bottom
of the card. However, sometimes photographers travelled around, so it isn't concrete proof that Minnie WAS from N. Y. But, there was a Minnie Vaughn living in Richmondville, N.Y. in 1880, age 16, dau of Hiram W. Vaughn, 49 and Nancy. M. 38. I havent checked any of the Southern States, VA, N.C or S.C. to see if there was a Minnie Vaughn there... but the name sounds familiar.
There's no date on the photo, but it must be in the 1880's I'd say.
Could be later, like 1890 but it seems older, for some reason.
Who knows WHICH Minnie she is...
The back of the photo is written in pencil; Minnie Vaughn (only one a)
