Onalaska Mayor Dies
Onalaska-(April 4, 1974)

---Onalaska Mayor Ted Tyler Vaughn, who had been confined to a Harris
County hospital for a number of months, died there March 27.  He was 59.

     Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon in Carlisle Baptist Church with the Revs. James Stucky and E. R. McCreary officiating.  Burial was in Carlisle Cemetery under the diretction of Pace Funeral Home.
   Mr. Vaughn was born March 19, 1915 in Groveton and had been a resident
of Onalaska for 51 years.  He was self-employed and was a former peace justice for Precinct 2.
   Survivors include a son, Ted Charles Vaughn of Irving; two daughters, Peggy Powell and Betty Jane Dawson, both of Houston, two sisters, Opal Reagan of Conroe and Jackquelyn Storm of Onalska; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
