      Mrs. Ada Stark, 82, dies at Eldon; rites held Tuesday

      Mrs. Ada A. Stark, 82, died at 8:50 p.m. Saturday at her home on Walnut
      St., in Eldon. She had been in ill health three years.

      She was born December 25, 1877 at California, Mo., the daughter of
      Mansfield and Martha Jane (Vaughn) Apperson.

      On October 3, 1897 she was married to Joseph Albert Stark who died Jan.
      2, 1943. She made her home in the Harmony community throughout her
      life until moving to Eldon.

      Mrs. Stark was a member of the Aurora Springs Baptist Church.

      She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Grace Lepper, of Otterville: a son,
      Earl A. Stark, of Newburg; two sisters, Mrs. Lula Heldstab of Eldon and
      Mrs. Frances Kenworthy of Cushing, Okla.; a brother, Ray Ewing, of
      Centralia, Ill.; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

      A son, Albert Curtis, died June 10, 1928 and another son, Joe, on January.
      22, 1949.

      Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Chapel in Eldon. The Rev. E.
      L. Dane officiated. Interment was in the Eldon cemetery.
