Cleo Vaughn Dies at 97 Years Old

Dear family members and friends,
On Thursday, May 4th, 2006, Cleo E. Vaughn passes away peacefully in BSA
Hospice. I, Joe Vaughn, and all three children were there with him in those
final hours to comfort him.  We, of course, are grieved at his passing.  However,
we rejoice that he has gone to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Cleo
had been speaking to us over the past few weeks of wanting to go be with his
beloved wife, Ruby.  The were married 70 ½ years before her death on March
6th less than 2 months ago.  Dad will be in repose at Schooler Funeral Home
beginning May 5th until his funeral service Monday morning in the Chapel of
First Baptist Church of Amarillo.  He will be buried next to his  wife, Ruby, at
Llano Cemetery in Amarillo following the memorial service.  He and mother
both requested that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the Gideon
Bible Society.
Love and blessings to you all,
Joe Vaughn

(Joe is Joe Edwin Vaughn - Cleophus and Ruby's son.)
