Vaughan Vaughn ReUnion 2009!
For quite a few years, a Vaughan Vaughn Vaun Etc., ReUnion has been discussed. This list has been
created to plan out the reunion and take a count of how many researchers would be interested in attending!
The reunion is scheduled for June 12-14, 2009 in the area of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
ALL researchers with ANY spelling variations of Vaughan Vaughn, are invited to attend. No matter what
state or country you are from, you are welcome to join us! If you just want to see a bunch of folks interested
in this surname in one big group, come and join us!
The purpose of the list is to keep everyone interested in attending this event up-to-date as to our plans.

DNA-Testing
The Vaughan-Vaughn-Vaughen Surname Y-chromosome, DNA
Project was officially begun on January 12, 2004. Having read
many success stories in matches with DNA for genealogical
purposes, we decided that it is time to try to advance our research
in the many cases where there are no written documents to help
to prove our ancestry.

James Vaughan  Virginia to Georgia
This list is dedicated to locating the ancestors and descendants of James Vaughan, probable son of William T. Vaughan (son of Samuel and Sarah Vaughan) of Virginia. James marries, first, Sarah and second Susannah Wilkins, possible sister to Sarah.   He died in 1796 in Oglethorpe Co., Georgia. James and Susannah had three know children and he had seven know children by Sarah. Many descendants in Georgia, Arkansas, and many other states. Also spelled Vaughn
