Isham Vaughan was the son of Hundley and Elizabeth
Wray Vaughan of Williamson County, Tennessee.
Both
parents died when Isham and his brother, Willis
B. were
young and they were left in the care of an
uncle in
Nashville.
Isham (Aug 28, 1835-July 9, 1909) eloped with
Mary
Jane Aiken while she was a student at the
Athens institute.
