Thomas J. VAUGHAN: resides one mile north of Coburg; is a farmer and stock-grower; post-office, Coburg; was born in Cable county, Virginia, August 13, 1830; came to state in 1847 and to county in 1848; married, June, 1850, Elizabeth SAMPSON, who was born in Clay county, Missouri, in 1833. Children, Ellen, Benjamin, Oren, Olive, Martha, Orella, Josephine, Emma, Jeremiah, Alta and Lizzie.

John A. VAUGHAN: resides one and one-half miles north of Coburg; is a farmer; post-office, Coburg; was born in Platte county, Missouri, January 30, 1840; arrived in state in 1847 and in county in 1848; was married April 7, 1871, to Flora L. CANTERBURY who was born in Andrain county, MO., July 39, 1853. Children, Willard A. (deceased), and Wilbur H. (twins), Lydia M., Eulia M. and Strahan St. C.

Floyd G. VAUGHAN: resides one mile west of Coburg; is a farmer;
post-office, Cobury; was born in Cabel(sic) county, Va., in 1832;
came to state in 1847 and to county in 1856; married first time, June 11, 1865, Angeline BABER, who died January 29, 1881. Children, Richie, William, Dora, May and Eveline. Was again married June 8, 1882, to Mrs. Maranda J. HASKET, who had four children at this time, viz: Lola, Armen, Bismark and Myrtie. One child by second marriage, Randall.

The Grange Hall is erected on land originally owned by William

Vaughn, and nearly opposite the present residence of T. J. Vaughn.
It was built in 1874, is two stories high, the upper floor being used
by the Grange organization and the lodge of Odd Fellows, and the
lower for church and Sabbath-school purposes.

WEST POINT LODGE, NO. 62, I.O.O.F. - Was organized April
3, 1878, with the following charter members: T. G. Vaughn,
Nathan Canady, J. O. Doughit, H. L. Thompson, James Armstrong, and the accompanying officers: T. G. Vaughn, N. G.; James Armstrong, V. G.; H. L. Thompson, Treas.; Jasper Wilkins, Sec. The lodge, which meets every Saturday evening in Grange Hall, is in a flourishing condition and has twenty-nine members on the roll. The officers for the current term are: William Bogart, N. G.; E. J. Willoughby, V.G.; Jasper Wilkins, Sec.; A. Simmons, Treas.
