was born in Fauquier County, Virginia, circa 1789.
Eleanor O'Bannon was also born in Fauquier County, Virginia, circa 1795.
She was U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant Presley O'Bannon's first cousin; he is the Marine who led the expedition "to the shores of Tripoli," memorialized in the Marine Corps Hymn.
Joseph Vaughn married Eleanor O'Bannon, circa 1810.

He served at about age 15, in the 132nd Indiana Infantry, Union Army, during the Civil War.

He married Mary Catherine Swift, in Davis County, Iowa, on 30 Oct 1870.

He died on 5 May 1916, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

William Swift Vaughan was born 12 July 1879, in McPherson County, Kansas.

He served in the 93rd Company of the U.S. Coastal Artillery during the Spanish-American War.

He married Maud Osborn Knowlton, in Chicago, Illinois, on  

12 Jul 1920.

He died, in Joliet, Will County, Illinois, on 4 Nov 1952.

William Knowlton Vaughanwas born 14 Jun 1921 in Chicago, Illinois.

He served as a U.S. Army 2nd Lieutenant in the

American and European-African-Middle Eastern Campaigns, during World War II.

He married Merle on Mar 24, 1961 in Salt Lake City Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He died, in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, on 30 Aug 1966.

 

His only child, William Mortensen Vaughan was the person tested.
