William Macajah Vaughan was born in 1781 of Prince Edward, VA.  He died 1860 in Carroll Co, VA.

He married Elizabeth Smith Glenn on 18 Dec 1809.  She was born in 1789 in Prospect, Prince Edward Co, VA and died after 1850.

Their son, Thomas J Vaughan was born in Jun 1820 in Wythe Co, VA and died after 1850.

He married Martha Farmer (born 1822) in 1849 in Pulaski County.

Thomas later married Esther J. Turner in 1854 in Montgomery County Virginia.  And later married Susan Kertner in 1873.

 

His and Martha’s son, Christopher Columbus Vaughan was born in 1850 in what is now Carroll County Virginia.

He married Mary Luther Boothe in 1871.  She was born 4-23-1853 and died 12-25-1924.

They had nine children and both are buried in cemetery in Dublin, VA but their home was between Hiawasse and Snowville, VA

Their son Hansford Watson Vaughan married Lucy Jane Akers.  She was born 11-07-1882  and died 7-09-1951.  They were married about 1905 and had five children.

Harmon Watson (Chris) Vaughan was born in Newbern, VA and was married on April 12, 1946 in Bluefield, VA to Bernice Goosby.  She was born 2-3-1922.

They lived in Bluefield, WV until 1972 when they relocated to Greenville, SC.

 

Their son, Stewart Henry Vaughan was the person DNA tested.
