50 pages. Re estate of Hezekiah Daniel. The pleadings in this case set out numerous relationships of the siblings of Hezekiah Daniel who died unmarried without issue. Boulden Vaughan & his wife Susannah [Fuqua] Vaughan two of the defendants. Hezekiah Daniel’s sister married John Fuqua. John Fuqua died leaving five children, one of which was Susannah Fuqua who married Boulden Vaughan. This is a must read for any descendant of Boulden Vaughan.

Ingram Vaughan deeded his slaves to his children reserving a life estate for himself and his wife. Plaintiff m. Elizabeth Carter Vaughan, dau of Ingram Vaughan. Two of the children in the deed died without being married or having children. Ingram conveyed the share of Lewis who d. in the Late War to Edward B. Vaughan. In Apr 1820 Ingram conveyed the interest to Edward B. Vaughan. Suit to enjoin removal of the slaves until rights can be determined.

Thomas Ferguson, father of Elizabeth Vaughan made a will devising his property to his wife Elizabeth, during her life, except for one slave given to his granddaughter Sarah Vaughan. After his wife died he gave 1/3 of the property given to her to his three daus. Elizabeth Vaughan, Kitty Bryan and Susannah Abbott for life. Susan Abbott died after her father, but before her mother Elizabeth leaving children Thomas Abbott, Joseph Abbott, John Abbott (minor), Leonard Abbott (minor), Fleming Abbott (minor). The executor failed to qualify and the widow Elizabeth was named admr with will annexed. Elizabeth then died. Two plats in the file.

This case involves the extended family of Polly Tucker who died with a will dated 29 Dec 1830. She has siblings William N. Tucker, Sally Tucker & Catherine Tucker. William N. Tucker died during her lifetime leaving [named children]. Polly Tucker had other siblings not named in the will that later inherited by descent and distribution [specifically named in the pleadings]. Those siblings include among others Nancy Vaughan and Martha Vaughan (whose children were Polly Vaughan, wife of John Bryant and Matthew Vaughan).
