WILLIAM VAUGHAN gave oath that he was aged 48 years old, and SARAH VAUGHAN gave oath that she was aged 39 years old in depositions given in a suit. Charles City County, County Court Orders 3 April, 1673.

WILLIAM VAUGHAN patented 1225 acres 32 poles on the south side of Appomattox River and Blackwater Creek. Adjoining HUGH LEE, being 100 acres purchased of HUGH LEE, 100 acres purchased of ROBERT BURGESS, 720 acres assigned to said VAUGHAN by HUGH LEE, WILLIAM BARRON and GILL PRATT, AND 305 acres 32 poles for transporting 7 persons. Virginia Patent Book 7, Page 30.
