Payton A. Vaughn - was born in Dinwiddie Co. VA March
10, 1810 and is a son of John E. Vaughn a native of that
state (VA) John E. married Miss Susan Cotton in 1808 she
was a native of England. John E. and Susan Vaughn had
five children they are Payton, Nancy, George E., Jane and
Emily.Payton A. Vaughn married Miss Mary A. Darneille in 1834
she was a native of Ky and came to IL in 1833 and they had

Barthenia b.1841,
James T. b. 1843,
Mary Z. b.1848,
George E. b. 1852,
Douglas B. b.1860
