      Cornelius Vaughan, son of Cornelius and Elizabeth Vaughan
      of Spotsylvania Co., VA., was born 18 Apr.1729, VA. and died
      12 Feb. 1785, VA?. He married in VA. in 1745, Frances (Franky).

      Their children were:
      Elizabeth
      Milly
      Mary
      Sally
      Fanny
      Edmund
      Phoebe
      Nancy
      Peggy

      According to FORKS OF ELKHORN CHURCH, there may have
      been another son, Thomas, who went to South Carolina. One
      Thomas Vaughan was in Fayette Co., KY. in 1791.

      Edmund Vaughan, Sr. was born 16 Dec. 1760,Spotsylvania Co.,
      VA. He migrated to KY. about 1780? and settled in that part of
      Fayette County that became Woodford in 1788. Edmund Vaughan
      married first: Sarah SAMUELL, daughter of William and Frances
      Samuell, about 1784.

      m. ? TINSLEY? [m. 1813, Sam'1 Tinsley, [Bk. 1, p.11]
      Thomas -
      m. Mary HUGHES - 1817, Franklin Co., KY.  [Bk. 1, p. 46 1
      Reuben -
      Edmund Vaughan, Sr. married second: Susanna THOMSON
      (she was b. 1768; (d.1823) daughter of Anthony Thomson of VA.

      Their children were:
      James -
      m. Charlott( Ashmore HAWKINS - 1827, Woodford Co., KY.
      Mary Ann -
      m. Dandridge CROCKETT, Sr. -

      Edmund Vaughan, Sr. died 24 Sep. 1823, Woodford  Co., KY. Of
      his children, John never married and lived with his brother, Walker,
      at the family homesite until he was quite an old man.
