      Ben Vaughn & Benjamin Vaughn-an 
      Company "K", 52nd Regiment of Ga., Army of Western and /or Tennessee
      Henry David Equal Rights , Brigade Stovall, Rank private, 
      Enlisted March 4,1862, Carnesville Ga.. 
      Battles engaged in: Vicksburg, Baker Creek, Missiory Ridge, Atlanta, 
      & Jonesboro. 
      Captured Vicksburg July 4, 1863, 
      Pardoned July 6, 1863. 
      Cause of Discharge Surrender.
       

      My great aunt Mary Lucreta Vaughn Shelton told me in the 1940's that 
      her father Benjamin Rush Vaughn, Sr. did not come back from the civil 
      war and they were told he d. and was buried up north so I think this is
      him also:

      Vaughan, Vaughn, Ben,Benjamin 
      Company "B", 1st Ga. Infantry.  Roster of Patrichs, Rank Private. still 
      in prison July 22,6?.  Captured near Atlanta Ga. Aug. 7, 1864, by 
      Sherman's Army. Sent to Camp Chase, Ohio Aug. 18,1864.  Died of 
      Erysipelas Jan 3, 1865.  Grave # 701 located 1/3 mile south of C.C..
